Absolutely amazing! We stayed here as a group of 6 celebrating a 30th birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The villa itself was stunning, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and memorable stay. Our host was incredible - so helpful, welcoming, and full of great local tips that really made our trip special. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would recommend this villa to anyone. We’d come back every year if we could!

This villa is exactly as gorgeous as advertised! We spent two fabulous weeks either relaxing amongst the old olive trees by the great pool, cooking wth fresh organic veg from ‘our’ garden in the well equipped in- & outdoor kitchen or exploring charming Crete as the secluded location is the perfect base - mountains, beaches, Chania, hikes, gorges etc.nothing is far. Furthermore the enthusiastic and very generous host Apostolos (and his lovely family) truly spoilt us wth the famous Cretan hospitality and contributed to this exceptional holiday experience! ευχαριστώ πολύ efcharisto poli !!

Apostolos place was exactly what we were looking for. It has easy access to Chania but is outside the city, resort areas, and residential spots. It is tucked into olive groves and orchards providing a peaceful spot to relax and catch the sun while making it easy to get into the city when we wanted to liven things up. The house is new and spotless. The pool is amazing. Apostolos was very welcoming and gave us a tour of his orchard. He told us the history of the place making it a more personal trip. We loved grabbing mint from the garden for our mojitos and cooking outside on the barbeque. We have been to Crete many times and love this part of the island and this stay just made us want to return again quickly.

We had an amazing time in Crete. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Apostolos gave incredible recommendations and was always ready to help out at any stage. The house was impeccable and by far the best AirBnB we've stayed at. The location is absolutely perfect. Could not recommend any more.

Do not hesitate to book Villa Athena Elea. We had a great stay and it was the perfect location to explore from. The villa is about a 15 mins drive to Chania and to numerous lovely beaches. Apostolos and his family welcomed us on arrival and had arranged age appropriate toys for the kids, some wine, fruit and local specialities. The welcome was warm and generous. We used his very helpful welcome guide to help choose restaurants and plan our stay. The pool area is safe for kids and there are plenty of good quality sun beds. The WiFi is strong throughout the villa. Each room has a TV with access to Netflix. The water pressure is great throughout the villa. Apostolos kept in contact with us throughout and helped us with any questions we had. We would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed at villa Athena with our friends for a week and had an amazing time. The villa is beautiful and we really liked how the place kept its heritage but also is designed to feel like you’re in a boutique hotel. It definitely feels like a unique place with so many extra touches that made it feel special. Great outdoor dining area- we had a lot of fun making our own pizzas. The pool is fabulous and has a small area for kids which meant we could play in the pool with our small baby. The host left us lots of local honey, snacks and Olive oil and so many recommendations for places to go for dinner. He was also on call with any questions we had. We really enjoyed learning about the history of Crete and the home that he built on his family land. We loved being able to pick the fresh delicious limes from the trees for gin and tonics and taste the avocados and figs he grew in the garden. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to explore the Chania area. It’s a really easy 15 min drive to the beach and Chania town, which we loved as Chania is quite busy so it was nice to have a little oasis that we could go back to easily. Highly recommend this place for families too, our host brought us lots of toys and amenities for the baby. Thank you for making our holiday so special!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette magnifique villa flambant neuve, qui allie charme de la vieille pierre et matériaux moderne. Nous nous sentions comme à la maison ! Nous décernons le prix du meilleur hôte à Apostolos, le propriétaire de la maison qui a été d’une rare gentillesse, à l’écoute, toujours disponible à la moindre de nos questions et de très bons conseils. Nous avions une liste très complète de toutes les meilleures adresses aux alentours (plages, restaurants, marchés locaux, supermarchés, …) L’espace extérieur est bien équipé et la piscine est très agréable ! Le tout rythmé par les chant des cigales ! Idéal en famille :) Nous reviendrons avec un immense plaisir ! A bientôt !

Very lovely villa. We stayed at villa 1 week and it was amazing there is everything what you need at villa and place where villa is are beautiful too. The host was helpful with everything, to rent car and was always in touch in case we need something. Will comeback again and definitely recommend to everyone
